अच्छी औरत (Good Woman), अच्छी बेटी (Good Daughter) explores the Indian feminine in my family through collage, I re-contextualize our archive with bindis, mehndi, prayer fabrics, and text. The materials reflect cultural markers of femininity, while the text conveys both my family’s emotions and my own struggle with Hindi—a language I long to know more deeply. Growing up in Hong Kong as an Indian woman shaped this search for connection, making the collages a bridge to my culture, ancestry, and younger self—a space for us to reflect, express, and exist freely.
